The NexPath Telephone system provides complete administration via Internet protocols, so it can be administered from any location either on the company LAN, or if enabled, anywhere in the world via the Internet. The administration tool provided with the NexPath system is called AdminTool.

Administration is accomplished using a web browser, and either Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator can be used to access AdminTool. AdminTool can be used to change the system configuration, install backups, install software patches, record audio files (in conjunction with the telephone), edit the day/night mode schedule, upload or download system files, set the system time and date, and many other functions.

Configuration file capabilities:

The system configuration files managed by AdminTool allow the NexPath system number plan to be completely customized. Voice mail boxes can be setup as stand alone mail boxes or associated with an inside line extension. Speed dial extensions can be programmed for off-site forwarding or dialing off-site numbers from an auto-attendant. Outside lines can be configured to connect to an auto-attendant or directly ring an inside extension, on a line by line basis. Inside lines can be programmed to give inside (PBX) or outside dial tone when going off hook. The Web Administration tool provides a graphical means of laying out and editing auto-attendant files. Auto-attendant programs of up to eight levels can be managed graphically using AdminTool.
