Aastra 9316CW Aastra (Nortel) 9316CW

The Aastra 9316CW telephone is almost ideal for the NTS Servers. It has a compatible message waiting light, it queues the hookflash (which is called link on this telephone) so that subsequent key presses are not lost, and it rings and dials with no AC power.

The 9316CW has the best feel and operation of any telephone we have ever used. It has a two line LCD display, that displays caller name and number is you subscribe to the service from your telco. There are 8 speed dial buttons that can be programmed with pauses and hook-flashes to implement most all of the NexPath system commands for transfer, pick-up waiting call, etc.

There is a volume control for both hands free (speakerphone) and the handset. The 9316CW has an MSRP of $219.95, and is available from NexPath for $185.00. It comes in grey, almond, and black.

Panasonic KX-TSC55-B

Panasonic KX-TSC14W

The Panasonic KX-TSC14W is a two line desk set with hands free speakerphone and headset capability. You can use it as a single line phone and ignore the 2nd line if you wish. It has a compatible voice mail message waiting indicator, and provides caller ID name and number on the three line LCD display. Ten stored speed dial numbers can be used to implement the NexPath system functions, or to call frequently used numbers. The KX-TSC14W includes a speakerphone, and has a volume control for the both speaker and the handset.

The voice mail indicator is on the LCD display. There is also a voice mail button that can be programmed to call your NexPath voice mail box when you press it. Your password can be included in the dial string, if you desire, to make accessing your voice mail quick and simple. This Panasonic phone properly queues the flash key, so that it can be pressed along with other keys without worrying about overrun. Pauses and flash can be stored in the dialing directory.

This telephone includes a jack for connecting an optional headset for hands free operation. It also has a setup screen that allows you to set the line type: telco or PBX. You must use the PBX setting for proper operation with NexPath system.

The KX-TSC14W is an excellent telephone for the price, and we highly recommend it for the NexPath phone system.

VTech VT5831

VTech VT5831

The VT 5831 is the world's first 5.8GHz cordless system, offering superior sound quality, security and clarity. The fully functional Handset and Base Unit gives you two-phones-in-one. It has numerous features, including call waiting caller ID, voice mail indicator, speakerphone on both the handset and the base station, and analog and digital clock display on the handset. The handset has a headphone jack and choice of vibrating or ringing for an incoming call.

This telephone is excellent for the business office, since it co-exists without interfering with 2.4 Ghz wireless LANs. It integrates well with the NexPath Telephone System. Its Flash key is compatible and properly queues the key presses.

Uniden TRU5865-2

Uniden TRU5865-2

The Uniden TRU5865 is a 5.8 GHz Digital Spread Spectrum cordless telephone with a Dual Handset System (2 handsets included in package). The fully functional Handset and Base Unit gives you two-phones-in-one. It has numerous features, including call waiting caller ID, voice mail indicator, speakerphone on both the handset and the base station. The handset has a headphone jack, and a handset to handset call transfer feature.

This telephone is excellent for the business office, since it co-exists without interfering with 2.4 Ghz wireless LANs. It integrates well with the NexPath Telephone System. Its Flash key is compatible and properly queues the key presses.

Panasonic Gigarange

Panasonic KX-TG2553

This Panasonic Gigarange Extreme SST (2.4 GHz Spread Spectrum Technology) cordless telephone has good range and voice quality, with an MSRP of $149.95. The wireless mode is SST (spread spectrum technology), and it has Call Waiting Caller ID, a Voice Mail indicator light, a backlit 3 line LCD display handset, and a 50 station phone directory dialer. The handset has a headset jack for an optional headset and a handy belt clip. The Gigarange Extreme SST uses an NiMH battery that is rated at up to 4.5 hour talk time.

This telephone integrates well with the NexPath Telephone System. Its Flash key is compatible and properly queues the key presses.

Panasonic Telephone

Panasonic KX-TSC7B

This Panasonic is the best telephone you can buy for the price, in our opinion, with an MSRP of $34.95. It includes Call Waiting Caller ID and a voice mail indicator on the 3-line LCD display, and a handset volume control. It does not have a speaker phone or handsfree mode, or a headset jack. Batteries are required, but it does not require an external wall mounted power module. If you are on a budget, it will likely fulfill your needs. Ten speed dial numbers can be programmed to implement the NexPath call control functions, with pause and hook flash, etc.
